I was hoping that someone in this forum could identify the location indicated on the accompanying photos,
as I have no idea what was attached to the inlet indicated by the white arrow.

It's of an 1988 Honda Accord 2.0Si (as pictured in my avatar).

I figure that something (a plug of some sort?) must have worked its way loose from this location as I now
notice a strong air-sucking sound and the idle revs up and down. When I block the hole everything evens
out back to normal.

Anyone recognize the missing part?
(or do I just shove a cork in it )

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,:)
Sven

the left side of the arrow is a bit askew....im not too happy about that.....couldve at least used a ruler to draw it up properly....
wonder if it comes in different colours also???
or even rings for circling things....hmmm......
