Hi, im a newbie here and i just got my Type S. Just wanted to know if you guys can give me some information here.

1. What bulb size is the low beam? i cant seem to find it in the manual.
2. Does DC5 Type R parts suit the Type S too? i.e. exhaust headers, cat back and intake parts?

Any help would be awesome and will appreciate any recommendations on where to buy and for what price.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks for the info guys.

What brand of intake / exhaust should i get for the car?

Know of any good ones with reasonable nice power gains?
Ive seen the Gruppe M on other threads but it seems a bit dear for just an intake...

Defiantly lower it first, makes the stance so much better. Standard is like a 4wd!

What intakes and exhausts have you guys got?

Is the Fujitsubo Power Getter any good for the type s? compared to Legalis R?
Is the gruppe M much better than other Injen/Fujita?

I wanna see if spending that money is really gonna be much better for the car, so see what u guys have to say about them...

injen is bang for buck cheaper/more noise/more power compared to gruppem

i got one on mine, cos i felt the stock box restricting air flow, now i can feel more power. If you want a quiet exhaust that's loud in vtec get a RM10a they're pretty nice

Yea what he said ^.

RM01A sounds hot on a DC5. But have to disagree with you on the intake.
I reckon Gruppe M > Injen on a DC5.

But it costs like twice as much.

it seems that cos of the CF box its restricting the sound and air flow. that's what i thought anyway

also injen is proven to put 11kws on the wheels, not sure bout the gruppem

so OP get a injen, headers, and exhaust and ur sweet

Get quality springs and dampers, a rear sway bar and an LSD. Leave the motor stock :p.

yeah i recommend eibach springs and koni yellow shocks, no need for coilovers cos u prob wont track it.

leave the motor stock but get a injen or a gruppem cos having that aggressive vtec crossover sound is to die for.

Cool, thanks for the discussion guys, i just thought the Gruppe M would be better coz all it does is suck in cold air from the vent. So Injen just as good? ok, ill start looking for it. $1250 is extremely expensive for just an intake. Not a very logical price.

I do notice the restriction with the stock box, i guess Injen is the way to go!!

Btw, is there a thread here in the integra part of the forums where people just list their mods to their DC5? i.e. Mods done, price on parts and where to get them?

Ive searched but i cannot find one, maybe im just not looking hard enough...

If not, lets get one started.......
