Hi All,

I've recently changed my rims to "235x7.5x18" and noticed it's approx 10mm higher on the left side (i.e. wheel arch). I didn't notice the difference with stock rims though! Any ideas guys?

Cheers.

What tyres have you got? 235?/??/18. The tyres should be 235/40/18 for your wheels.

Front passenger side is higher by 10mm compared to the front driver side if you measure from ground to wheel arch. It's the same with stock wheels as well.

Hey Aaronng, you're saying it's normal then! Any advise on the best combo for lowering the car i.e. spring and shocks? If it's normal to be 10mm higher on the pessenger side, would lowering evens it out or does it need even out?

Thanks in advance.

If you get good springs like Bilsteins, you will find that the right side is slightly shorter than the left side. If you want to even it out, then you need adjustable coilovers which ruin your ride comfort. There is no reason to even out the 10mm difference, because it comes like that from the factory to even out the weight distribution on each corner of the tyres.

^^^I can verify that!I thought i had a faulty Eibach spring.Had it replaced and same difference in front ride height..Confirmed with Honda service they said this is correct.

Refer to Tony's post. He has Eibach springs in his car and he did find that one side was shorter than the other side!

Gee, and I thought it was because our fat arses weighed down the right side for so long that the springs sagged!
