Hey guys, if I were to buy a car with the black line panel on either side as seen here:

How much do you think it'd cost for me to have them painted (Or do it myself)?

I'm not 100% sure on the material though, can you shed some light? :)
For a white car would I go for a white gloss paint or a white paint then a gloss spray?
(I think they're plastic too)

you go get ur self some plastic primer
get ur color code from your passenger side door panel ( or drivers cant remember) and get autobahn or something to mix u a can of ur white paint to match ur car
mask the area, sand it down smooth with like 600? -> 800 -> 1200 and then 800->1200 wetsanded (correct me if im wrong)
then spray over lighty with ur primer 2-3 layers
then sand down to smooth, then put like 5-6 light layers of white paint, sand it down abit to rid impurities, then spray clear coat and wetsand it and polish it
theres a diy somewhere

Use plastic primer beneath the paint, don't just shoot paint straight on!
I've lost count of the number of shabby cars I've seen with paint flaking off their bumpers.
The owners obviously thought that it was a good idea to paint flexible black plastic bumpers with straight body paint.
It looks sweet, until the part flexes. Then the unflexible paint falls off in flakes.
The same applies for these side mouldings, because one day someone parked next to you will open his car door and touch the moulding on yours. Now you don't want paint flaking off do ya?
