Hey people,

I know most of us, are curious about suspension for our new cu2s but just have that problem of price and availability.
I know some have started to get quotes from the states in regards to getting eibach springs etc.

This is how its looking

To get eibach springs from the states: roughly $450 - $520
(Heeltoe are doing a discounted rate which will get the springs to your door at around $450 AU)
To get TEIN springs from the states: roughly $490
To get H&R Springs from the states: roughly $520
To get Progress Springs from the states: roughly $436

So it brings me to this point. Had a talk to the suspension place down the road from where I live in brissie, and he said that he has King springs in stock for our model. Furthermore, he said that the older part numbers fit the new cars.

So it makes me wonder, will the later CL9 springs fit our CU2? Opinions please ...

my opinion is (and this is just my opinion) is that though the springs of a cl9 might fit, they may not handle the cu2's extra weight and other characteristics of the car...

i prob would pay the extra for springs made for the cu2 specifically...
$450 is a good price considering eibach australia will charge $600AUD before shipping

$600 + shipping for springs are way to expensive... I prefer to use modulo coilovers for $1750 (see: http://ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116317)

I know for CL9 drop is approx.35mm.I'm guessing drop for CU2 would be the same.

Tein has released coilovers for CU2 and it's not cheap.

If you get lowered springs, you might want to consider shocks with the correct travel range so that you don't blow your stock shocks.

Here's for those who dont know (inc. model numbers):

Eibach (4077.140 ): Lowering (F/R): 1" / 1"
H&R (50152): Lowering F/R : 1.3"/1.2"
Progress (40.40.0105 ): Lowering F/R: 1.2"/.8"
Tein S Tech (SKB90-AUB00): Lowering F/R: 1.6"/1.4"
King Springs (KHFL-107SL & KHRL-108SP): Lowering F/R: 1"/1"

hope this helps :D

ZERO chance of a group buy being advertised here unless it is done by a trader.

Nestetjester, Carshine down in melb quoted 560 for the eibach springs and the drop is 30mm f&r. Not sure whether that helps, however not sure whether Carshine will drop their price for multi-orders.

Another thread was suggesting eibach over tein spring. What about H&R?

Is H&R better than eibach?

Find out the spring rates and amount of lowering for the Tein, Eibach and H&R, then you can compare them.
