hey all i have done a search without luck on this type r?

It states log books have been lost i think with a bit of digging through the dealers i guess you could find out where dealers servicing stopped.. Seem too good to be true..

you should be able to check on REVS for a small fee, its worth it if you're seriously thinking about buying this car

true, u rather pay the fee and be sure rather then getting the car w/o knowing and just throwing cash on it every wk for a problem.

all good brah..

just bear in mind that if its a repairable writeoff it doesnt always mean its a cut and shut job....

type r (dc2rs anyway) get written off after their recaros are stolen, hail damage can also be considered a write off..

so its not always chassis damage..

just wanna give you the full picture .. but yeah make sure you always check REVS at least . then if it works out all good go look @ log books, get mechanic to inspect it etc

REVS check:

I did the same thing once, but even better than REVS, I sent the chassis and engine numbers I had to Honda Australia, and they replied (overnight even) that the chassis and engine numbers did not match with what they had on record

The whole (I'm selling this for a friend) part is enough to ring alarm bells on this

Good luck

Isnt revs are free check?? you just go online and type in chassis number and engine number on the website and it shows you what's wrong with it? That's what i did when i bought my DC5S. im pretty sure REVS is for free unless you want to buy the certificate which cost about $15?
