16.2 for a mildly modded DC2? What was his 60ft?
What you been running on the dc2R steve?

16.2 is pretty shocking. It's a simple car to drive really, launch about 5k with a bit of clutch slip, and it'll get onto VTEC quickly. Changing gears fast with the Integras box is a piece of piss... pulling thirds is fun hehe, esp for stock!
Maybe the driver / car / tyres weren't right, I'll be embaressed if I run a 16, but oh well.. i'm doing it for the fun, not really for the time :)
hey bluebird  ...........do you need a pitt crew?
(how much does it cost for a run anyway?)
www.wsid.com.au
$45 to race
plus u can bring 1 car too with it.

16.2?...
my corolla CSI did 16.1
with a few light mods.!!
i would expect at the very least from a vti-r a 15.8
an automatic could do 16 secs

Hey guys,
Was a tops night... best I got was a 15.5 @ 91mph. Unfortuantely, after that, my clutch started to go, so my 60ft times became shocking, and I simply couldn't get it any faster. Shame too, but the end of the night I got a 93mph, but couldn't launch hard, or it would just spin the clutch...
Oh well, next time :)
I'm pretty happy with 15.5 for a dead stock DC2 VTiR :) It seems to be what most people get I guess?

Haha..go the kewl shades Tommo...
Nice time. Can't wait to get my little non VTEC DOHC out there... gimme a buzz when you're going next.
Yeah Jase, I'm sure SSS's should be quicker....they're a 2L and newer etc. Spose the ones I've taken on have been severely limited by bad driving. :)
Still, when you're in a GSi, you're always the underdog ;)
dam its good to see sum hondas hittin the quarter
i should seriously get my arse into gear and go to :o
15.5 = :thumbsup:

what were your 60fts??
I got 8 runs, but another mate of mine had 15. There were 52 cars running, TOTAL... lol.
60fts = 2.3-2.4.. after the clutch went on the third run, I was getting 2.5s, haha.
What times did you run in your DC2 ITR out of interest? I never heard :)

its very different to street, so dont expect to get perfect runs on your first time
i was aiming for under 15.2
next time i'll aim for under 15.0

What was the main differences you found from the street?
I found it reasonably similar in the two different cars i've raced at WSID.. main thing I noticed in a FWD was the bad wheel spinnage that equals in axel tramping, I've never had that problem on the street :!:

I'd rather run with my daily driver setup, eg. street trim and rubber. More "realistic". No use slapping on $400 slicks *glances @ the VW ;) ...crazy all out cant!! lol) that I wouldn't be able to afford 52 wks a year...
15.007 Steve? Awesome man! On the 17" Tarmac Evos too! I'd love to come along sometime Dung/Steve/Tommo... just gimme some time to get my shit together... gotta make sure the little DC4 is in decent shape.... high 15's here i come!!! ;)

hey john, i reckon when u beat them u should be proud of yourself whether the sss is good or not, because these races u can never predict who is gonna win......i mean ive beaten cars with my mum's pulsar and u would think the other guy would be faster...hahaha...but now i leaves mums car alone....but ive heard from hanson that uve toggled stuff in ur car, good stuff man!!

Yeah, I toggle my volume knob on my HU from low to loud, and my A/C from hot to cold.... it's basically the only thing you can do when you've got a slow car.... :( lol...
Can't afford to play with the big boys...

haha,
It's never about the times anyway. I ran a 13.7 in my last car, this car is two seconds slower, but I don't care, it's still great getting out there and experiencing things!
