hey guys anyone know whats turbo/ rear housing size they are running in a B18C and what RPM they are making boost by?

:p

im using a garrett GT28RS with a .86 rear housing, alotta people say that would lag but it doesnt feel that way to me...IF i could do it again id get a slightly bigger turbo tho...I just wana see the difference...It starts boosting about 2.5k and id say its on full just before 4k

Starts spooling at about 2.5krpm full boost at 4.7krpm.

Doesn't seem to lag on mine but i'd like a slightly earlier full boost

Im running a tiny .48 T3 exhaust housing which is extremely responsive but is choking my top end power a fair bit. Good fun for a daily driver though. Probably better off with a .63 T3 or .86 T25 especially if you have a ball bearing turbo.

how many K's on urs dude? mines nearly new lol and if i did go the bigger turbo, id go a smaller rear housing to compensate lol

dunno hwo many ks but no shaft play, and boosting at 10PSI is like nothing for the 2871r

So you guys are all runing T2 flanged setups ?

i am thinkin of a T3 GT3071R but just not sure if i should go the .63 .82 or .86 i was going to go the .63 as i want a fast boost response but was worried that it would get chocked up at top but i dont know if to .82 at this stage

I'm running a GT2871R with a 0.86 Rear Ryan :) full boost at 4K RPMs

Have you upgraded from your SOHC?

I'd go a GT30 with a 0.63 rear on a B18

yeah, GT3071R with .63 hotside would be good for 250-300kw before it would run out of puff

Im Running Gt2871R with 0.86 same as Luke

Boost starts around 2500 and full at around 3800 on 10psi. I have a different setup to some of the other guys tho. diff mani etc.

yep cool cool i think i will go with the .63 rear atm, caz i am going the anti surge front comp cover and external gate V band rear so i think it will be ok if its not enough then i'll change it later to the .82 see how we go first :)
