No you can't. There is no such thing as a universal ballast as most connectors from different companies will have different plugs.

yes you can use any ballast. therese no such thing as a h4 or h11 or h1 ballast. its universal.

Here are some different HID ballasts with different connector plugs for different type of HID connector bulbs. Pictures speak for itself. The systems are not interchangeable.

Color - 3200, 4300, 5000, 6000 (K) rating etc.
Housing - What type of shape the HID bulb is housed in to suit different headlights - H1, H3, H4, H7 etc.
Ballast Connectors - As Above.
Usage Type - D2S, D2R, D4S, D4R.

Universal Colors (K) rating and universal bulb fitment type to fit different headlight housings have nothing to do with different manufactured HID kits and how their ballasts are setup.

Yeah I did the same thing as you. Works fine. If the connections are different you can buy new ones at Autobarn to replace them to make them fit.
