Hi guys,

I need some advice on which insurance company is the best and cheapest to go with to insure my car. Im about to buy a 97' 5th gen lude (picking it up on tues actually) and I'm wondering any of you whos bought one, which is the best to go with?

Please post who your insured with and what quotes your getting for comphensive cover.

why are there alwys so many threads on insurance? also, wasnt there a recent thread abt preludes and insurance?

with insurance, u just gotta call around and get a quote urself.

there is really no point of ppl putting down how much they are gettin their cars insured for because insurance depends on many variables: age, gender, garaged or not, location, driver history, modifications, the model (eg. SI or VTIR) just to name a few.

well it may give you an indication but still....

Thanks for the insight drsilliez, just goes to show alot of research needs to be done to find the right one for you.

ps. from my experience so far, stay away from budget direct.. they charge cheap premiums but the excess are off the roof! be warned.

You'd only need to worry about excess if youre prone to crashing... and being at fault!

yeah...
i pay <$900 for comprehensive with a $3000 excess...
