how you going peeps, this maybe a stupid Q, but just want to know.
whilst trying to figure what wrong with my vtec, i was pondering what would happen if you gave full power to the Vtec solenoid keeping it on all the time??
is it possible,
if so what are the pros and cons??

be a waste. vtec would kill the power curve down low cos of to much overlap in the valve timing. vtec is there for a reason. vtec on also drinks fuel

Its possible but not worth it....unless you like wasting petrol, not getting the best performance and replacing engines.

its exactly like having agressive cams all the time....
now think about it again...you get shit idle, shit fuel economy and shit low end.

go to youtube and look for toda killer vtec cams (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=toda+killer+vtec+cams&search_type=&aq=f) to see what it'd be like(well stock cams in vtec probably aren't as agressive as them but it'd have the same result)

it would idle like a whore, would crew through fuel like a bitch and running on the high cams while the ecu is still in the lowcam section of the maping, it would most likely do some serious damage to your engine after an extended period of time.
