I think you would be better off asking "what's involved with a b20vtec build"
I can't picture anyone here (not saying it doesn't exist, i'm sure someone has done it) putting a VTEC head on a b20 in a crv.
It's a bang for buck engine upgrade in most civics/integras.
B20B bottom end from a CRV
Any B series VTEC head (there is limitations with certain heads - so beware)
VTEC conversion kit
ARP rod bolts for safety
Tune to suit
+ other things like loom compatability, etc
That's the basic list, it can get fairly involved the further you go into it.
But personally, i'd rather build a b20vtec than spend my money on a b18c or a type r for that matter. Who cares about "I have a B18 type r motor" these days?
B20B stock head work - I wouldn't go down that path as there is a lack of support in reality, you won't be running VTEC and the valvesprings look like paper clips coiled up.
Remember, tune for torque.
edit: if you actually ARE asking about doing b20vtec in a crv, all of the above still applies. I'm not sure on manifold clearances though.

Ask Zeforce (Stephan) he has b20 out of a CRV then put a b18 head on it to make the b20vtec setup.
