I've moved house and am driving 600 km's a week now (from 100...) so to compensate I bought a Sparco Torino 2 reclinable seat and fitted it (with a bit of help from my neighbour and his welder as I again destroyed another thread where the seat bolts onto the floor - that's 4 out of 8 now lol).

Anyways,I absolutely LOVE the seat.FINIALLY I'm sitting lower and it feels bloody great.I can just see the bonnet.I feel 'locked in' with the car now, centered and one with the car.It grabs on ya thighs/hips really nicely and you don't move at all in the corners  Far Far better than EK4 seats. The thing is now I can really feel how boaty the suspension is and I could imagine with coilovers it would be better/less boaty. That's the thing with modding ya car aye,you do one thing and then ya gotta do another to compensate/balance it.Expensive :thumbdwn:

The seat is ADR approved. So I just needed an engineers certificate/mod plate for it which I got by ringing the RTA and getting a fella's number.$60 and a bit of paper later - All Good!

PICS!!!

It's a bit heavy at 23kg but it's one solid unit that just feels brilliant.I've never had such a good solid feeling seat before
I wouldn't use a harness with it as the holes for the harness are too low for me.

I need a headrest too as I find I rest my head back and I'm looking up! and feel like a snooze :)

Thank U!! - John (phantom Civic) for the rails! (and your patience :D )
Andy (akusuma) for the seat
AK Andy - Thanks again mate

ahahaha

towel shorts, i have never heard of such a thing, so they r bad for swimming ? as they will absorb a shitload of water?

i asked because i was a bit confused. lol

back on topic.

u dont find it a bit squashy? or do you fit snuggly into it?

The shorts are soooo comfy.I find I don't want to wear other materials...hehe,I've had a few comments on them over the years :)

The seat fits me perfectly aye.Just like when I bought the bride vios 3 seat,I just trusted my instincts and ALL GOOD! Can't complain at all.

Hectic seats!!!! How much did the seats set you back?

Towel shorts are great in hot weather. Any little sweat is absorbed and you don't get the attack of the itchies!

It's just the one seat.It was $350 and the rails were $150!

Good price for what you have there. Now I am feeling the seat modding itch. Except that mine will never pass engineering since i have side airbags.

so, most women have front airbags and somehow they meet ADR specification

Yeah, like jock itch. The towel shorts absorb your sweat away so your groin is not moist all the time and succeptible to colonisation by ringworm fungus. Not fun I tell you. Not fun having to apply cream twice a day for 2 weeks too.

True true.

I've been wanting a nice comfy seat that sits me at a good height for a while now.So glad I done it and it worked out perfect.Makes such a difference.I'm actually looking forward to getting in my car (seat) and cruising home after work now :)

I've finially got a nice little ****pit from which to operate my machine hehehe
