Hi. just want to find out how far i can push the gears on my 2000 model Ek as it doesn't have a rev gage.

goes to 7000 on stock ek cxi, lol.

you can buy gli tacho and put it in.

according to the drivers manuel, max speed for gears are following:
1st 50km/h
2nd 90km/h
3rd 130km/h
4th ?
5th ?

rev it til it hits fuel cut. so when the engine power dies off you know you should change before that. make not of this speed and change before that, easy

hitting fuel cut wont bend valves... i've hit my fuel cuttoff a couple of times and havent bent the valves...honda puts the fuel cuttoff before it gets to a point where bad shit happens.

without hitting rev limiter in my ek1 i did 56-57 ish then 2nd i did a tad under 96-97ish with out limiter...

you can take these figures:
