Would a 18x8 offset +40 wheel be fitted under the front guard without lowering?

I know would fit rear guard pretty easily, but wheel might stick out under the front guard.

Cheers

7.5" width with +42mm is abt flush under front guard.

based on that, will be abt 8mm extend on 8" width with +40mm. be prepared camber kits/bolts at the front then.....

Thanks guys,

That'll limit the choices by quite a bit.

As Aus said, you might want to get a Front Camber Ball adjuster kit to tuck it back under if you really want to go 18x8 +40. SPC make such a kit, part number is 67125, might need to ship it from the US of A though.

I'v fitted a 18 x 8 +42 offset on mine, it does stick out a bit on the front. I'd say 5mm? Not too obvious...

No lah, this section of the forum only got a few regular ppl also, so new ppl tend to stand out.

is yours the JDM Absolute/KM Absolute or normal KM one?

Budget coilover will have to be YB Tomei, BBK is also YB JBT mini 4. Although you might get some attitude from the boss.

Not had a change to visit YB yet, thanks for the heads up on sussies and brakes. Quite a few members in SHC have used them, good value I gather from their reviews. Not too ex and good enough for everyday use.

Mine is just the KM Absolute, didn't know there was a JDM Absolute until I got my car from KM. Just shows you the importance of doing research b4 commiting.;)

Mate, would be great if you could give a small review of the coilovers. Would help tell other owners how much diff they make to handling

Hi Shane33,

I have an 08 set on fac 16" alloys with original tyres that has only done around 6,000 or so kms. How much would you offer for these as I'm looking to upgrade to 18's?

The alloys and tyres are in excellent condition with no gutter marks whatsoever and the tyres still have lots of tread.

Cheers!
