WOT = wide open throttle :)
if u want tame get a 60mm(2.5") they tend to be more quiet.
J's 60RS is one of the most quietest exhaust for the s2000

I got the fujitsubo Legalis-R close to a year ago.

Good for daily driving - quiet when you want it to be, nice sound when you hit the throttle.

Had a few compliments from it.

But if you drive on the freeway alot, then the noise might do your head. I dont so lucky me.

All in all, its a great exhaust if you dont want to spend too much.

PS. unnoticable gains.

i got mine 2nd hand for 900 and brand new i was quoted from about 1400-1500 at the time. (US dollar was at like $0.65-68)

Might be cheaper now.

I'll keep an eye out for ya.

I had the Amuse R1 dual, and HKS dual, noticeable low end power loss with the HKS, especially when going back to stock. Stock is best compromise, all the sound can come from an intake. IMO exhaust is good for weight loss, and only worthwile to go single for power (small gain).

i just heard abt HKS HI-power better than HI-power slient, HI-power slient is bad design for high flow

which one you used to have?

and, correct me if anything goes wrong..cheers

silent hi-power is the same design as the hi power??

what i heard is different, HI-power is better power gain than a HI-power slient due to the diff design...

and i m didnt c much s2k owners talking abt toda dual, any recommendation on that?

genghiskhan
31-07-2009, 09:52 PM
the hi-power is made from mild steel whilst the silent hi-power is full stainless steel, the reason why its known as silent is that HKS achieved the same sound level as the hi-power.
Far as i know i dont think there was a design change.

when u say all the sound can come from an intake dus that mean keeping stock exhaust and getting an intake to make it sound better??

I have a Fujitsubo and I think its great, looks subtle, not too loud and its something that would be less likely to go out of fashion.

thats a sexy exhaust, although im having 2nd thought abou buying one now cos i went for a very spirited drive yesterday and its pretty loud (inside the car) i think an exhaust would drive me crazy especially on long trips.. i need to hear different exhausts in person before i buy.. problem is mine is like 1 of only 3 or 4 within like 200km of where i live lol. is anyone going to coffs harbour s2k meet in october??

From my experience, if you get anything larger then the stock exhaust piping size say 60mm or 70mm with the stock headers and cat, your going to get allot of drone inside unless you change the whole exhaust system on the car, at low rpms you will also get flood depending on which exhaust, to be honest its not worth just changing the stock exhaust because if you really want to get some power out of it you will need to get the headers, hi-flow cat aswell combine it with an ECU to get the most out of it then were talking allot more money here... if your just after sound the stock exhaust is nice with an air intake.

My suggestion is you get a long cat

Reason: No Long Cat... mmmk.

u wont make the most out of the header with a stock exhaust it will be like a bottle neck effect. If you get a high flowing header and cat, and u get this tiny exhaust it will just restrict it.

I dont think anyone is silly enough to buy a header and couple it with a stock exhaust.. stock header and after market exhaust yes.

I've been running a TP for over 2yrs now....

If you stand behind the car on idle with a TP, all the fumes goes onto your clothes and in your mouth, makes you stink and feel sick.

knock on wood i have been pulled over for it being loud, athough when you give it a hit sometimes it blows out alot of smoke so dont do it while your behind the cops lol it does stink if you start it up and your in an enclosed area without any air flow such as a garage so dont do it you will kill yourself
