the sensor is in the ECU. the ecu is bolted to the back of the drivers airbag. when the airbag is disconnected it should be automaticly shorted by the self shorting connector. to prevent static discharge deploying the airbag. so with the battery disconnected if you start messing with the yellow covered wiring loom you could deploy it.. but dont mess with your airbag or its wiring. never place then aigbag down on the bench or ground, airbag must face the sky. I dont think the airlines let anyone ship airbags on a plane, spare parts are shipped via boat because there classed as explosives.

so the bottomline is, after i disconnect the battery, the airbag shldnt deploy rite? ive already took out all the srs connectors to the fusebox.. im currently taking out the looms in the dash but still with the steerin wheel on. Im just worried tat the airbag might popped out while im at it.

im not saying that there is no posibility of it going off. its is safer to remove the airbag while working on the SRS loom.
note. once you cut a SRS wire you are not allowed to reconnect it in anyway, you MUST replace the loom.

what are you trying to do anyway.

SRS Loom should be the same. but you should sill undo the srs connnector behind the steering weel cover while working on the cars loom.
