Hi guys.
I've just done a full rebuild of my transmission in my ej8 using wynode's guide. Massive rep to you for that guide mate!

Anyway im just concerned about whether ive put the gearsets and shift interlock back together right. Is there a way i can test that all the gears work?

Can i just connect the shift linkage and partly fit the tranny back on to the engine and test the gears from that? Is there an easier way to tell?

Thanks for any help.
Tom.

use a small screwdriver or similar , place it in the shift linkage hole (where the split pin resides to hold teh shift linkage to the gearbox) and shift in the HH pattern thru each gear to make sure it will shift. Rotate the input shaft back and forth in everygear , also have alook thru the differential housing to make sure teh diff is slightly moving as you rotate the input shaft.
