Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where you can purchase OEM parts online as I don't wanna get ripped by Honda Aus. I'm looking at the 18" luxo wheels, interior panel set and door sill garnish. Can get the wheels on oemacuraparts.com for 381US each will end up being around 3grand AU here landed with tyres will need to swap out the centre caps though... is that a good price? Not looking at aftermarket parts.

Many Thanks!

AU$3000 for the wheels? Isn't it cheaper to buy the rims from a local dealer and add tyres from a tyre shop?

Local dealer charges 700 per rim and no I'm not getting TE-37's for my 61yo father they belong on a skyline IMO.

Not worth it mate..
Plus you have to accomodate import tax if the seller is not going to incur it him/herself.

Goodluck TE37 from local seller would be almost 4k.
You are better off buying from HA no other options.

I guess $700 is for the Current version 18" 5-spoke rim. Wow, it is expansive.
See if you have any mechanic or smash repairer friends, they may be able to get you trade prices from Honda Part department.
Can that the case, Buddha?

Check out Tempe Tyres, Taleb Tyres Etc etc..they always have oem wheels for sale after owners have "upgraded" from their stock wheels.

Paying 3K for OEM rims is insane.Look around, you get a lot of rim for your money if you look at good quality aftermarket.

I sympathize with anyone trying to get OEM Honda wheels thru the dealers.
I badly kerb bashed front nearside rim on my new Euro Lux 2 months ago. Had to go for a short walk to consol myself for that moment of inattention. Had to go for alonger walk when heard the cost of replacement rim , $830 inc gst from Honda. I mean sh#t man for those dollars I could get a serioulsly light forged rim.

Figured the best way out was to just not look at the rim. Still runs true and afterall it just cosmetics right. That said, anyone out there with an unmarked 18'' Euro Lux rim for sale i'm still looking

Zeke why dont you get the wheel repaired? It will be much cheaper and look like new after its done.

lols i feel ur pain

i kerb bashed my rims on my 2 week new CU2 trying to dodge an idiotic pedestrian in a parking lot.
to date, ive kerb bashed 3 rims except the drivers side one....its painful to look.

i heard u can get the grazes out tho by a panel beater. they can smooth it out. but i dont feel its worth paying a few hundred $$ for small (size wise) cosmetic issues. money can be put to better use elsewhere...unless ur swimming in it of course. just wash it, add tire shine so its so dazzling clean nobody notices the grazes lol

There are specialist wheel repairers that can do a professional repair (there are probably dodgy ones as well... lol)

SPQR, I agree with your repair comments ,heard there was a good one based in Brisvegas. upside is thaey are good 2 downsides are they charge $250 per wheel inc shipping and it takes upto 2 weeks and the second gotcha is running around on the get you home spare for those two weeks. Get you home spares suck ,may as well give you a can of tire moose and save the weight and hassle. I think the main problem apart from inattention that caused the problem in the first place is that the wheel and tire combination on the Euro Lux leaves no real sidewall to rim distance for error. I reckon that in 12 months you wont see a Euro Lux on the road without kerrside gutter rash. It's just so easy to rash the rim .

Had the same curb rashes on my Nissan 350Z when I had it before - bothered me a lot for awhile then I forgot that it's even there and I just treat it as a damage for a vehicle that's been well used and enjoyed by me so it's normal in the life of a vehicle.

Moving on, currently on my CU2 Lux Navi - someone dinged my door and rear quarter panel quite badly but not badly enough to lose sleep over - I'll get it repaired one day but until then I won't worry too much about it

I'd definitely be keeping an eye on eBay. I bought my CL9 Lux rims on eBay from a NSW Honda dealer, who fitted a different set for a new owner on delivery. $600 for a set of 4, which is a fairly typical price for 17s. For 18s you'd expect to pay a bit more, but still...

They don't come up every day, but you stand to save a packet if you're keen on OEM rims and are prepared to wait for the right set.

It's a hassle but cheaper than a new OEM wheel or waiting for the off-chance that one of the fancy lux 18 becomes available for sale. In the meantime, I checked the yellowpages and found the following which may be of assistance.

argh someone grazed my door in a carpark. i think they knew and purposely ran away without saying anything. Its a quiet carpark and i know it was that day cause i check my car everyday except that day and there were no cars when i parked or when i came to pickup the car. someone must've parked next to me (when there were 30 spaces open around me) and dinged my door when they opened theirs. sigh people these days, now i have to live with this ugly graze on my door. i managed to rub some marks off but i have to use my touch up paint i bought. its gunna look ugly. id rather leave it.

does anyone noe how to remove door grazes? i bought the touchup paint and it cost 25 freakin dollars for like 5mls or something. if u apply it, the surface is very coarse and u see brushstrokes. how do u buff it smooth?

What's the bet they were mine? Stingy ****ers only gave us 4 x Optional rim so I have 4 x Gunmetal 5-spokes and my full-size spare is the OEM Lux wheel

I did this minor repair jobbie to my passenger side mirrors - where some bugger grazed the mirror - quite a sizable graze too. I applied the Honda repair paint and after a while I didn't even notice it's there.

Depending on your graze - just apply a VERY thin layer at a time - don't overdo it. When it dries apply another layer until it's about even with the surrounding.

I'm not an expert by any means so if the graze really bothers you you may have to get some dent repairers to do it.

For now I've left the ding on the rear quarter panel as is as it's not really noticeable and the door mirror graze has been fixed so I don't notice it.

So that's 2 hits on my new ish CU2 (done 6000km's so far)!!!!!! GRRR

advanced alloys/ajax wheels both in moorabbin.
have heard good things about advanced alloys but they are $$, have never dealt with either personally.
