7th Gen Accord Lowering

Hey guys,

Just curious as to some advice on lowering a 7th Gen Accord.
What height have you lowered your own rides (pictures if possible would be great!)?
Did you have big camber issues?
Did you have to modify the guards at all to fit?

Hey there mate,

Sorry I got ur pm and forgot to reply u..

I lowered my car roughly 3' at front and 3.5 at rear and fitted camber kits front and rear, but I needed this to fit my 20x10 rims and I also had the guards flared.

Originally When I lowered it the rear cambered in a little but it is a nice look,
U will not need a camber kit, as long as ur wheels are the usual 8.5' wide.

But u will need to roll your guards and trim the some of the plastic inner guard at the front, at this drop.

Also that is for 20' wheels, I would not recommend going this low with small wheels.

It all depends on the size and width of your wheels also how low u want to go?
completely decked or just an inch which is pretty invisible,

U will not need to do all the things I done to my car

I think 2' drop with a set of 19x8.5 would be neat.

The wheels I have are 20x8.5.

The height I was trying to achieve was a clean height which basically filled any gaps in the guards which as much ease and convenience as possible.

Didn't need the wheels to tuck at all but just to sit inline flush with the guard.

You think 2" would achieve this? Or something closer to 2.5" would be better suited?

Where did you get your springs from!?

I got mine from pedders.

to get a neat no gaps fitment then Yeah I thiink 2.5 will be good,

But the front and middle of your car will hit everything underneath.

The body of the accord is really low.

Do you have big problems with scrapping at your height?

I just went to Pedders then and the only springs they had would only lower it 1-1.5 inches.
They said they had coilovers for the car, but I had a look online and it looks like they only lower it 20mm maximum from stock height!
Every place I have checked around here and online says you can only order springs that lower to a height of 30mm.
I am contemplating going coilovers now, but not sure if it is worth the extra value.
I hear K-Mac to springs to your desired height but not sure whether to do that or go coilovers potentially.
Where did you get your 3-3.5 inch springs from? Are they springs or coilovers?

Yeah the new law you can only have a max of 50mm low now,

I used pedders springs first, then went with Jumboz springs any height similar to k-mac, then Ksport coilovers, and now back to Jumboz.

Only undercarrige scraping not in the wheel wheels as I flared the guards.

I recommend K-mac springs over Jumboz.

Hey LVNIT,

Make sure that you get your drive shafts adjusted/shorten/modified after lowering the car. When a car is lowered the drive shafts apply more pressure to the inner joints which eventually damages them. I had to replace my inner joints and drive shaft as the previous owner had his car super low and it costed me $560 to replace (non-genuine - drive shaft new from Honda for each side is $1025 ea)!

P.S. Damaged inner joints will make your car shake like it had parkinson disease!!

My car is lowered and I do not have this problem, maybe the previous owner hammered the shit out of ur car?
