Parts needed as im doing it atm to a auto EJ8 i picked up for dirt cheap.
-gearbox
-gearbox mounts
-vss
-manual pedal assembly
-clutch master cylinder
-slave cylinder
-clutch line from master to slave
-clutch/flywheel
-manual flywheel bolts (auto ones are too short)
-manual starter motor and bolts.
-shift linkage/shifter/gear boot
depending on engine
-manual intake manifold/throttle body
-manual ecu
think that is most of it.
only worth doing if you source the parts cheap and do the work yourself.
should cost between $500 and $1000 depending where you get parts from.

I'm interested in doing this too but I have question for you BluEG. Did you get all these parts in Melb?

might just be cheaper to buy a wirtten off car then use the parts from that, after you have done the conversion sell of the car/parts to regain some of your losses.

its actually very cheap to do,
alot of ek's go b series meaning their d series stuff is out the door - hence why its quite cheap! just be patient and source the parts slowly.

the wiring will also need to be changed. Reverse switch rewired, wires deleted at ecu, starter wiring too. As you'll no longer have an auto gear selector you'll have to dummy the car into thinking its in park or neutral all the time

Change the ECU to a manual one, problem solved. the wiring in the middle (where the shifter used to be) - someplugs will have to be taken out and some just re connected back - this is probably the hardest part but its not hard at all.

id still think a full B series conversion would be the cheapest in the long term, after your manuel conversion you;re going to want some more grunt and whether if be K series or H or B or wateva you're going to need to pull the engine out.
so to follow a phrase that alot of OH members like to use.. 'do it once, do it properly'
