this may be a stupid question
but would it be possible to take a s2000 setup and chuck it in a civic???
or the fact that its a rear wheel drive setup i belive be the problem??
also engine bay changes??
cheers

It'd be easier to do a H22A conversion wouldn't it?
The mounting position of the F20C would cause a few headaches getting it to FWD config...

Ive seen a civette which is a rear wheel drive civic with a chev LS1. It can be done, just need the cash to do it .Your probably better off droping in a H22 or K20.

thanks for the help
well yeh maybe a h22a from a vti-r could be considered..
not bad for 148kw ayy
i was thinking the s2000 setup coz of rear wheel drive = lots more traction and very different to other civics out there...
would the changes to the engine bay be easy?? what would be involved in fitting the h22a and the f20c in abit of detail???
any1 who could help would be greatly appreciated
cheers

IMO id say its better off with you doing a B or K series swap.

Everything you said definitely can be done. All you need is money and time. Engine mount can be customised for fitting F series engine in. It's all $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

i see where ur comming from.. u dont wanna be the same as every other civic... who either do b16, b18 or k20 swaps...

its tru tho itd probly be cheaper and still go hard.

id actually like 2 see a rwd f20c powered civic

as said above anything CAN be done with time and money.... is it worth the time and money? well in my opinion f**k no!!

you would get a better result by either buying an s2000 or settling for a fwd based engine.

on top of that imho you would struggle to find a workshop in australia to take on that kind of job as there would be alot of fabrication/modifying involved

unless u r intending to do diy yourself. I've seen a datsun with RB26 at wakefield before. They're father and son and that's their lil project. Customised engine and ghetto style radiator reservoir (Gatorade bottle)

This can be done. JDMYard can get F-series mounts to civic. PM Yonas and ask him what needs to be done.

lol no it's more than likely true, I mean great idea but the amount of work converting the car, getting an engineers certificate even after that it may not be road registrable. Civic is a great base car for a project but you'd be spending too much, take the advice buy a S2000 or similar RWD vehicle.

If one more person posts another one of these stupid F20C transplant into Civic threads, I'm going cry. Then ban them.
