Hi So i have search some threads and find out thatif the lcd and back lights from the centre console are not working, but the audio and airconditioning is still working this could be due to a broken fuse or a replacement of the head unit.

I wanted to trythe cheaper way first of replacing the fuse. Can i confirm which fuse it will be in theinterior fuse box.

Any help is appreciated.

if your lights are still working and it is only the display that is not lighting up, press and hold on the 'cd/aux' button for 10sec it will then beep and the display should appear, if you do it again it will turn off the display.

Hey thanks but its all the lights on the center console from the air con up to the LCD

I have read other threads and it seems to be common and i may need to replace the deck but i wanted to try the cheaper options first.

I had the same problem before, I had to have the entire unit replaced. I think you would have read about it in the thread. :)

with quite a few other members experiencing the same issue with their unit, i would imagine yours would be the same unfortunately. you may be able to honda australia and see if they will do it under a good will warranty as it has been stated in the other threads.

if not then you may try wreckers as there should be quite a few out there now considering the age, if you do go down this route i would suggest you ask the wrecker what year the unit came out from as it appears that 03 and 04 models were the ones mainly affected by this problem so anything higher should be safe

I had this problem a year ago and i no a few other people who have had this problem, they quoted me $600 to fix so i decide to take them on, it took me a week or 2 but after called honda australia and i sent e-mails they told me to fill out a good will form from my dealer and they came back and agreed to pay half so it cost me $300 so if anyone else gets this problem i suggest u fight it
