VTI for looks like sunroof, interior, VTI VTEC is shit, and heavier than Si.

Si more for performance, sports ;)

I also went through this phaze, picked Si over VTI and happy with it.

Si and VTI is about the same, VTI just has VTEC but is a SOHC, where as Si is a DOHC non VTEC, also VTI is heavier than the Si. Does that help?

Its the driver of the car that counts.

Si can be considered faster than vti is cause of 2 reasons.

DOHC (dual over head cam) over SOHC (single).

And.

They both make the same power.
Si with no vtec. Which means the power band is much smoother.
Vtec, spikes, or in other words, makes power as it kicks in.
If vtec kicked in at 5500 lets say. It makes crap power from idle to 5499 rpm.
SI is making the same power without the help of the high cam lobe (vtec).
That in turn makes the Si faster. Cause it doesnt need to wait for 5500 revs to give it a bit of go.

Yea, this topic has been discussed millions of times.... search and u will find :honda:.

Vti and Si engines both produce 96kw, prolly the best d series motors (apart from d16y8)....save up for a b series if u can...

D series= i dont have much cash
b16a2= im a bit better off
b18c= im willing to spend a bit
k series= I am serious about engines, and have some cash.
