What condition does this b16a2 look to be in? i do wanna buy a 5th generation civic vti-r, i just prefer the shape of those models, anyways here is a pic of the engine:

From that picture it seems to be in pretty good cond.

Maybe few closer photos with different angles into the engine but it looks clean.

Engine looks good on the outside, but you cant tell the health of the motor just from that. Check out service records to see if was really looked after, engine and car.

Must have some lead in that engine block. I can't see the piston rings or valvetrain with my xray eyes.

just get a compression and leak down test
and full inspection of car

nah its not, its only done like 140000kms, so it seems ok.

looks like an eg wit a b16a conversion, vti-r came out in ek (1995-1999) and em1 (1999-2000) Where is the engine pic? this shape didnt come wit b16a2 in Aus.

ok, thanks for the info, anyone know what would be the most powerful 5th generation model? if they are mainly D series ill just have to go for the 6th generation so i can get the B series engine stock.

most powerful model is SiR, which has b16a in it, but only can get it thru importer if u r lucky. as it is a old car, and it is a honda, people dont like honda in this country.

but other than SiR, other model of this gen civic come with d series engine.
good for turbo tho ;)

ok thanks for the info guys, i might sound like a 16yr old here, but i just love the 5th generation series shape, and i was thinking they come vti-r also, meaning they would come stock with a B16A2 engine, because just like the ones in the fast and the furious, the balck ones, i just love them, just wanted to lower, and have a gun stock engine and put a little bit of money into it. :(
