I think there's something wrong with my car. The reving issue only happens when I accelerate a little during a cold start, the reving will last for like 5mins or so. Everything is fine when I drive the car. Any info would be helpful, thanks.

I have also provided a video detailing the reving problem.

i had the same problem not long ago, i have a loud exhaust and at the traffic light i looked like a dickhead, sounded like i was revving it.

sorry dont have much of a technical explanation but the problem just went away after a couple of days and sorted itself out.

If it does it only when its cold.

FITV. Fast intake temp valve.

If it does it only when its hot.

IACV. Intake air control valve.

If it does it both hot and cold. Your manifold is probably full of gunk, and its clogging both valves.

Had this issue not long ago with my gf's CRX, Cleaned out IACV and still not resolved.
Found that an issue with radiator was causing the irregular revving.
Maybe worth checking radiator for any leaks?

It is your cold start warm up valve which is located under your throttle body, you need to remove your throttle body and then take the plug part of the cold start warm valve off, 2x10mm bolts, then rotate the valve with your hand to free up the valve. then put the plug part back on then see if this stops it....

What is happening is your cold start warm up valve is meant to rotate, but it is stuck....
