Well ages ago when I hitzors the curb, I noticed my wheel alignment pulls to the left as one would expect.

But just rndomly today I notice the said wheel that hit the curb sits further bck in the guard than the other wheel..

Does this mean my LCA has bent back when I hit the curb?

Wasnt going fast, just locked up turning tight corner in wet.. but the impact was harsh cuz my car is low and yea

What else could it be, obviously not bushes, maybe steering arms or something?

fanx

wow, after that you didnt even notice uneven tyre wear ?

could be the LCA, but then again get it check out, could be more than that

is it a front wheel? If so, try putting it on the back and while the car is jacked up, spin the wheel freely. you should be able to see it wobble if it's badly bent. If it's on the back already just jack it up and spin it. if you still can't tell, then try going to a tyre shop and ask them to check it for you, they should have a machine that will tell you whether it is or isn't.

How fast were you going? I've also hit a gutter. the rim will rarely survive - my guess is that it's rooted/

Hmm.. thing is it still drives okay..

And even if it was, why would it sit back in the guard, im dredding I bent the LCA.. is it an expensive fix?

Why cant I just jack it up on the front and spin it freely in neutral?

i guess you could do that.

something about leaving the car in neutral and jacking it up doesn't sit well though. despite it not effecting anything lol

My car still drives alright. I'm pretty sure i have suspension damage. while you've got it in the air, have a look at the strut to see if it's leaking. My guess would include the LCA but i'm no expert on sussy so hard to say what else. best bet would be to take it to some pros. but just get them to diagnose the issue as you can fix it with second hand parts instead of oem @ bullshit prices.

Let me know what the go is, I'm pretty sure we are in the same boat.

LCAs aren't that expensive if you buy second hand. i dunno about your model teg, but ITR RLCAs go for about $100 a pair. not that expensive

Great thanks for that..

I wouldn't have a clue how to fix it, dont wanna be taking apart my whole sussy not knowing what to do..

Ill get some pics in daylight tmorrow to show you what I mean aswell, and ill take it to a mechanic to get a wheel balnce and get them to diagnose what the problem is

cheers!

Hey guys didnt really want to start a new thread but I'm sorta in the same boat. Would you know who I can take my car to to have a look? would it be wise to take that Peddars $14 check thing?

instead of trying to figure it out when you may not know what youre looking for, go take it to a suspension place, like pedders, they will tell you

is that not what the previous advice given stated?

in this age of the dig camera, why do people not take the 5mins to put some pics up of the problem area, instead of just chasing their tail......

Hey Chriskoss I have no idea what your trying to explain to me but I hit a curb and basically my wheel looking from the back was like this

(left wheel) | / (right wheel)

Got it fixed but it making some wierd noises here n there whenever I turn.

Just want to know if there some place I can take it to to get it checked.
