hi guys.
Looking for a coil-over kit for my s2 which is comfortable or atleast bareable on the road and is quite good for tracking.
Im looking at a price between 2-3k and want to buy something quality rather then cheap.
I want to lower the car but dont want to put just springs in it, i want to spend the extra money and get the proper hardware so i can adjust height and stiffness.
It will be much appreciated if you guys can give me advice on what brand would be good and give feedback on coil-over kits you guys have on your cars.

Buddy club N+ :) = Soft, Goes very very low, decent price.
Drove a S2000 with it, very comfortable much like stock suspension and it goes very low.
Or go Bilstein Pss9, Soft, dosen't go that low, decent price very comfortable as well.

Oh yea forgot about kwv3 our dollar is strong again you should go kwv3! Some say it's comfortable some say its not guess it's how you feel about it. I think my Tein RS are very comfortable for street but some of my friends hate it lol.

Here's not what to buy: HSD, G4, and other shit cheap brands. They do nothing for for performance. And only offer the height adjustment.

There's a heavy debate on S2ki.... basically the T1R seems to have a few basic design/feature advantages but has no real proper testing/reputation behind them on the track.
KW V3 tried and proven :)
...or Amuse if you have the $$$ :p

There is no reputation because everyone is too hesitant to buy them, however the people who have bought them love it.
Not to mention that A&J racing who own a time attack S2K have fitted them on and they are saying that they are good and that's a big call especially since they used to be using the J's Racing CRUX SPL which are around $6K USD.
I think if you are looking for coilovers that offer ride comfort and some adjustability (for the occasional track day) i would agree with a lot of people here and say the KW V3s or the T1R (if you are looking for a cheaper option).

I was getting dyno tuned today, randomly picked up a newish edition of Fast Fours and theres 3 pics of my car in there. LOL.
They recycled the car in a dyno tune night I attended nearly a year ago, but combined other images previously not seen in a mag, into the story.
So the pics were a year old (though never seen before), from an event held a year ago.
The article was written for an event that took place about 4 months ago at the same place.
Combine the unseen images from a year ago to the new article for the new dyno night, and BAM, nobody knows the difference.... LOL.

i was reading in auto salon and it was said they used KW's i thought they used the KW's and made their own set of coil overs kinda like the KW's but enhanced or some crap.. I also read that most parts on the car were tested by the owner of the ASM shop and owner of the S so they can see how parts react to their track days and built their own parts on the performance of the old parts but better... i wish we had ASM shops all around australia lol.. btw VYETS got a link on their squential box? i know its around the 20k mark also but im curious about it.. i want to read more about it..

all big brand companies will test their products mate.. its called research and development. No link to Seq box mate. There's only 1 asm shop in the world, and that's in japan lol. so the changes of afew shops around Australia is not happening.

I wouldn't even like to think of the cost of the hewlands Sequential Box, I believe it's a 1 off custom fit with custom belhousing. Correct me if i'm wrong?
either im thinking of another car (which i dont think i am) but autobacs asm shop started off being a 2nd hand car part dealer in japan and now all asm shops are selling new and used s2000 parts (not sure about other cars)

They sell high quality parts for other cars as well like the 350Z and the Mini, S2000 is their most popular car. There's one asm workshop in the world, and other dealers that stock asm parts are offical distributors http://autobacs-asm.com/index.html
hrrm i cant even read that vyets lol

F20C, ASM and autobacs are two different shops. Autobacs is like Autobahn/Supercheap auto, only autobacs stock quality aftermarket parts unlike our australian stores. Autobacs will also stock some stuff from ASM but not all stores. If only we lived in Japan, parts, carbon fibre, no shipping costs, sushi, women, wicked mountain roads, 100+ octane fuel, mad little petite women........crap i think it's time to book a flight.

AJR would be more credible if they didn't actually support T1R stuff :p
But make up your own mind - my purpose and needs in coil-overs could and most likely will be completely different so... the whole thread if anybody is interested (KW V3 vs T1R)
