as most of RB1 owners here know that i have a whole set of 2 din brackets for RB1. by looking at the 2 din conversion fm aka_nsx or evolution on their RB1, its cool and looks good. now i'm not really into the carputer project and i'm not too sure should i install it or not. what do u guys think?

I think just forget about the carputer and just get a proper 2 din multimedia system. Now a days the multimedia units can also play avi files have Bluetooth etc. Only other significant thing that multimedia units can't do is surf the Internet, but with the newer mobile phones that would not be a problem.

if you make a carputer I can help you with the chassis design and build you a custom linux distribution that can run a wireless mobile broadband key and have touch screen

it would also have divx/bluetooth etc whatever you wanted... just gotta find a form factor you are comfortable with

tracked down the receipt for whole 2 din console kit purchased fm japan and paid almost AUD 450+ landed. thats why i'm still tossing what should i do. honestly, how much will u pay for my set?
