is it more beneficial power-wise and sound-wise
to have a longer or shorter pipe from the intake to the pod?

i have my own diy-style short piping connecting the intake to the pod
would it be better if i got a much longer pipe to connect the two?
would there be a difference or should i just leave my current diy short pipe

from what your asking im getting what length of intake piping you should go.. wells theres pretty much 2 types theres

sri - short ram intake meaning the intake pipping makes the pod sit in the engine bay you get better response as the air has less length to travel before going into your throttle body

cons for this are eventually you will suck in hot air from engine also defectable cos pod filter is plain sight

cai = cold air induction the piping sits your pod filter in your front guard or front bar great for top end also harder to defect as majority of the time pod isnt visible

cons chance of hydro lock however rare it is still there.

hope that helps

i've had my changes from sri to cai here and there but i was wondering
is it more beneficial in terms of power and sound if the pipe is shorter or longer

in other terms is it better overall to have a longer or shorter intake pipe?

He just pretty much gave you the pro's and cons about the both of them.

now its just your decision on which one you want.
