ek9 taillight

hi i recently bought an ek9 taillight with looming and everything but when i chuck the parkers on, the bottom and top light up but when i press on brake it doesnt light up any brighter on the bottom, only gets brighter on top. anyone knows whats up? or is it suppose to be like this?

does the bottom bulb have 2 filaments?

one for dark (5w) and one for bright (21w).

The top bulb should have the two filaments., as i said, 21watt & 5 watt.

check the bottom bulb.

not brake lights.

the second filament in the big bulb is the brake,.

yeahh i understand, but, what im unsure about is that shouldnt the bottom one have 2 filaments aswell as they are genuine ek9 rear lights?

use your ingenuity if you want two filaments there :p

My crx had 4 bulbs for the tail lights.

two with 2 filaments 5watt & 21watt on each side.

&&&&

two with one filament 5 watt on each side.



So when you turn the lights on, 4 lights will light up & when you step on the brake, only 2 will go brighter.

if you see otherwise, its prolly DIY modded ek9 tail lights with two filament.

genuine ek9 the bottom doesnt go brighter when you step on the brake, only the top.
The bottom is only turned on when you switch on your headlights.
You can however wire it up to turn on according to when you step on the brakes.
