View Full Version : HELP!!!!Noise from fuel tank when full (CU2)!!!!!!
hi all, I'm not sure whether you can hear it or not. I don't hear it all while moving, only when coming to a stop.
It lasts about half minute and then goes away. it only happens when the tank is full or nearly full.
It souds like the fuel is sloshing around in the tank and hit the wall of the tank.
I'm not sure it's normal or it's a serious problem. can anyone help me???

Nope it's not a serious problem don't worry about it. It will soon go away as your fuel is consumed - I get this noise too on a full tank not sure why CU2 makes this kind of noise LOL

It's normal for fuel to slosh around. Dunno why you can hear it though. Just turn your radio up ;)

If you listen carefully you can, it is quite apparent. It freaked me out a bit also at first to hear fuel sloshing sounds, which I've never heard before in my previous '03 Euro and 350Z!
Maybe I'll ask my dealer service dept to see if they have any ideas on this.

Drink a lot of water and then start jumping, you'll get the same effect in your stomach too, it's normal.

Totally normal to hear on a near full tank of fuel. My guess is the baffles within the tank don't go completely to the top
