Six speed colour blue..accessories don't know as yet but well leave that out of the equation, redbook only tells you so much and not a true indication of the car, i use to work for holden know...but since i haven't been valuing cars for a while im a bit rusty :D

What are they, about $50K on the road???
Good buy to me. I would show him $30k ~ $32k or so. The dealers would offer him less than that.

Not many are up for sale anywhere, I'm having troubles finding one. And at the right price.

meh just wait a while more, with interest rates going up as it is, some ppl will be forced to sell cars they can't afford to make payments on..

The car is still new wait till the updated it models arrive in about 2-3 years time the market will be flooded with second hand Euros because they are so popular now, you can pick and choose, then people will have to drop prices when they can't sell there cars. Thats why it;'s a great for people looking at second hand WRX's WHY cause there are so many it;s not funny but out of all of them, there are crashed, modified and turned back to stock so trying to find a pure stock is a mission these days , same with finding a Euro that has kept up all its servicing records.

What the heck? Euro Luxury in 6MT form is no where close to being $50k on the road. Even without any discount, they cost something like $43k rougly. Anyway, IMO there's no point in trying to get it for cheaper. If I were her, I wouldn't sell it for cheaper than that.

I would just get a brand new base model if you were going to spend that amount of ca$h. 19,000kms is not a new car. If it had less than 10,000kms on the clock, may be.
Mind you, if you were to buy it, I suppose that the nasty first year depreciation is over. Good luck to her if she can sell it.

Well that depends. Some people, including myself, wasn't very impressed with the base model although mechanically both are pretty much the same. Base model doesn't look luxurious at all with the terrible velour seats. Doesn't really matter whether it costs almost same as brand new base model. It's a luxury model which costs much more than the base model. What do you expect?

I think luxury is very worth the premium you pay the extras > the $7000-8000

Then why get a s2k that's already 3-4 years old for over $40k? If you want to get something better for the same amount of money, second hand is the only way.

uh....no. Try reading my post properly mate. You said for that much money you would get a brand new base model Accord Euro. I'm just pointing out that if you want something better (ie. Luxury model) for the same amount of money (ie. $35950 or whatever) there's no choice but to get a second hand. Just because it's the same price as brand new base model, doesn't mean it's a bad deal since Luxury model is $6-7k worth more than the base model.

LOL now that's what I call impossible. There is no way you can buy a brand new Euro Luxury for $35950. Even the list price is $40800. Sorry but I can't believe you got your Euro for $28K brand new either. There's no way any dealer would sell a car for peanuts. They'll probably lose money on it.
Edit: Just as I thought. Type R Positive, I don't know why the hell you are lying but you clearly stated in another thread that you only managed to get $2400 discount. Even if you disregard the on-road cost I don't know how $2400 discount on the base model Euro can end up costing $28k. Seriously, anyone with a brain wouldn't trust what you said.

Fuel, servicing, tyres, insurance, rego, all running costs brings the total up to $32k.
I don't pay tax on my car you fool.
What is a $34250 car with a $2400 discount with no tax?
That's how a base model Euro can end up costing $28k!
It is not my problem you paid too much for your car.

Calm down idiot. No need to get so agitated. LOL It seems like you are the only who's talking about the price in different terms. Most people will talk about car price in terms of the retail price including tax and most will pay tax on their car so you are the idiot for saying you can buy a base model Euro for $28k. Of course you can get it for cheaper if you don't pay tax, genius. It's not like you got it for that cheap because you got a good deal or something. Who gives a shit whether you pay tax or not? What a moron. Don't bother with your personal attacks because it only makes you look like a bigger fool than you already are.
FYI, I didn't pay too much for my car. I got Luxury which is why it's more expensive and I got heaps more discount than you did so I don't have any problem with it.
Are you dumb or something? What does cost of tyres, servicing, and running costs have to do with new car price?

Are you dumb or something? What does cost of tyres, servicing, and running costs have to do with new car price? Hahahahahaha! How much did you pay for your car? I payed $28K for mine. You say I lie. Fair enough, that is your call. I pay less than $200 a week for my car including fuel, insurance, servicing and so on. More than likely far less than you pay just on your car repayments. You say it there is no other choice other than to buy second hand. There is buddy, I just pointed that out.
You are personally attacking me, I am more than happy to prove you are wrong.

What an idiot you are. Note that I said there's no dealer who would sell it for that cheap. Are you an idiot who think that the dealer only gets $28k just because what goes out of your pocket is $28k? Pftt. Obviously you don't know jack about how things work. Go and study soome tax law and shut the hell up if you don't know what you are talking about. It is very clear that you have the ability to read things out of context all the time. haha. Go back to elementary school and learn to read again. You are the idiot who didn't mention that you salary sacrificed the car. Based on your thinking we should all change how we talk about price of cars. New Euro base model costs $30k + onroad, new euro luxury costs $36k + onroad etc. Do you realise how ridiculous you sound. I wonder why car manufacturers don't advertise their prices like you do. If they do that I'm sure they'll sell a whole lot more cars.
Prove me wrong all you want. I'm learning more and more how stupid you are.

Everybody can do what I have done with my car package, it is a cheap way of motoring and an effective tax break. It is only an idea.

Slander? You are the one who got all agitated in the first place when all you
could have said is that $28k is with salary sacrificing.

Who says they can't? Believe me, I know that area a lot better than you do. If you had the ability to read properly and understand the context of the discussion you would have known that I was talking about full retail price with discounts FROM DEALERS. Based on your theory, basically any near new second-hand cars will be 'rip-offs' because you can buy brand new cars for a bit more money.

God u 2 coladuna & Type R Positive are like Married Couples....
Retail for the Manual Euro Luxury is $45,500... Well thats the price they quoted me when i bought my Euro Luxury in March... If u bargain like hell then u could bring it down to $43,000... If u have a friend that works in Honda then its $41,500...
For what the person is selling thats a pretty fair price to sell for whats on the clock...
About $10,000 off the new price and its about 1 year old...

Dude(yea u type R Positive)..your the one who started attacking col first, and its not cool to go on about how much ppl paid for their car and thatthey paid too much for it...which they did not...
Salary sacrificing is NOT a discount, anyone with basic financial knowledge would know that to calculate the value of your car, you have to include everything, including opportunity lost on the salary you sacrificed...don't expect us to do research on something you neglected to mention at the start. The car cost you more than 28k, you had to sacrifice you salary period..
Now..back to the topic, I reckon the price is pretty fair for what you get, and also I COULD say that I could get a NEW hyundai accent....or a NEW hyundai, but I know you want an euro luxury for arnd that price, so I won't be saying you could get a NEW car for that price... :)
Again, I stress, stop attacking each other and comment about the topic.
Vent your anger/personal attacks over PMs.

I personally like OzHonda Forums, especially the moderators! i'm not trying to suck up to any if your thinking that.
Just other forums such as SAU, the moderators abuse their power and most have this crazy IM AM GOD attitude.
If this thread was posted in SAU, it would've been locked down, and the people attacking each other wouldve had their accounts suspended as if now. I believe just a word of warning, or a bit of 'take it easy' attitude will take your furthur.
Does anyone agree with me?
