nope its not a problem to swap the heads over as i was going to do it myself and got all the gear but not going ahead with it now due to other commitments :P

should be a straight fit up to to your Y4 just have to ajust the woring of the dizzy and the plugs and run somthing to activate the Vtec solienoid most use the ecu but i was going to run my EMS Stinger as it has a vtec controller built into it.

PM me if you wand the parts thought caz i aint going to use them
Cheers

OK, here goes. It is possible to put a Y1 head on the Y4 block, however the wiring is a completely different scenario. Its not just a case of fitting a Y1 & & grabbing a Y1/8 ECU, EK1/Y4s ecu harness wiring & plugs are completely different to typical OBD2 models. So you have to purchase a special conversion harness EK1 > OBD1/2, then wire in the extra wires for the injectors because Y4 ecu runs batch fire injection. Then you have to wire in an OBD* Dizzy, because Y4s dizzy is completely different. Then you have to source a 3-wire IACV because the conversion harness only allows for a 3-wire IACV (because of D-series ECU aswell). Then, since the 3-wire IACV fits on the back of intake manifold, & the Y4s IACV fits on the throttle body, you also have to source a Y8/Y1 intake manifold & a B-series throttle body (bit bigger). I think i have covered the basis of swapping a VTEC head in an EK1...
