they will fit, provided that the offset is right. i think the rears can even handle 9.5" wide, depending on the offset. for the FDs its probably best fit to get an offset as close to +45 as possible.

btw! there's already a wheel thread in this section and the question has been answered a few times >.<

Your wheel sizes for FD Civic (Multi-page thread 1 2 3 ... Last Page)

im sure you will find your answer in there..

i think ivan has the most craziest wheels here..

im running 18x8 and 18x9 +35 all round.. but you would have read that many times if you clicked the search button.

also if you had did a bit of reasearch.. you'd have noticed that some people refer to a website called 8thgen.. there isa whole forum dedicated to wheels. check it out.

i use 19X8.5 +40 for the front and 19X9.5 +35 for the rear.. just get camber kit , roll the fender and lower it with tein spring...

ekdez

what tire sizes are you using? b5omy
and what camber kit?
did you do anything else besides roll your guards? i.e. relocate a bolt?

p.s. pic's or your full of shit.
wheel specs you stated will hit the oem shock perches if you only have lowered springs..

much sbrubbing if 3 people behind but if 2 people its ok... but pretty much happy with the car rite now...

ekdez

need to lower it more. the gaps aren't attractive.
but when you lower it more your gonna run into problems like what im getting atm.. gonna take you a lot of work to make them fit fine.
i feel sorry for you atm.. you have a nice set of rims tho. gl

i got bc n+ coilovers and skunk2 rear camber kit(piece of shit)
18x8 +35 front is ok. just havent removed some of the guards
18x9 +35 on rear. with a 225/40 atm. getting 215/40or35 this week.
guards needed to be rolled and have been, and now the bolt which holds the bumper to the chassis needs to be relocated because it is scrubbing on the tire tread. other then that ive already scrubbed off the parts which needed to be scrubbed away.. i.e. bits of the rear bumper.
the wall of my tire is as smooth as a babies bottom because of the scrubbing too

i just couldn't believe you could said "just..." get this and that.. like its so easy.. a lot of work is needed lol and its really not practical to say the least.

probs sounded like an arsehole before.. sorry.. but anyhow, if you manage to fit them in  i suppose its something to work towards =] gl with it.. gonna look nice.. grab a kit .. its a must for the fd.

wont help. your wheel widths are wrong.
hence why stig said his tein ss would be useless..
he was running something like 20x8.5 +45 or something lol.. n sold the wheels after a few months

hi ekdez.. you also use skunk2 camber kit rite? originally its made not for FD, its for FG american version. so ur camber kit need to be modify abit so it cam camber more..

ekdez
07-09-2009, 10:50 PM
how did you modify it to camber more?

b5omy
07-09-2009, 10:59 PM
shave the camber arm and the bolt.. so it shorter and can give you more camber.. i think its hard to said.. it might better i took some picture soon and send it to you... anyway i am planning to move the bolt for bumper.. have u already move the bolt? and where did you move it?

ekdez
08-09-2009, 01:01 AM
my bolts fell out whilst driving.
one day it was less scruuuuppping around corner LOl..

quick question. this may seem silly, but i just wanna know if my current 235 wide tyres will fit on a 8" wide wheel?

ekdez
08-09-2009, 10:37 PM
yes will be bubble fit tho.
225 is a 8" wide tire.
215 is a 7" etc..

aero
08-09-2009, 10:42 PM
will there be any major issues with having a wider tyre than the wheel?

ekdez
08-09-2009, 10:57 PM
dunno maybe just more tire wear..?

how did you modify it to camber more?

Ekdez.. the red colour that i put in picture.. that part you need to shave it around 10mm to make it camber more.. but if you want more maybe you can shave it more.. hopefully can help you too...

shit your rim looks pretty close to the shock.. do they hit?
and wow that spring is massive.. or is your car jacked up?

thats when i jack up the car.. lol.. ur car look nice bro... have u shave the camber kit.. make it more camber...

aero
09-09-2009, 04:19 PM
ur wheels seem to fit just snuggly inside the guards, ekdez. is that mainly due to ur stretched tyres, since u say the skunk2 camber kit doesnt do much?

ekdez
09-09-2009, 05:33 PM
yeah when i put the wheels on before i rolled my guards.. i couldnt put a piece of paper between the tire wall and the guard..
but now that ive rolled it, the 225/40 fits very snug, but gonna go a 215/40 just to stretch it even more =] and slam it more =]
just spending money elsewhere atm :(

Hey guys just wanna make sure these set of wheels I'm thinking of getting will fit. A set of 17x7 with a +47 offset should fit right since the Sport rims have a similar setup except with a +45 offset?

it will fit your car... because offset 47 is original offset i think..

original offset is +45. ganj3, those wheels are perfectly safe. u wont/shouldnt experience any issues with them

ahhh im still trying to sell mine as well. rofl...
but my coils will be coming in next week and ill see how much having stiffer suspension will help scrubbing. i only plan to lower it by about 1.5"... but thats not to say i wont try to dump it as low as possible to get some pics. but ill probably have to get some thinner tyres for that.

since the rear right of the car is sorta lower for some weird reason, i noticed that you have the same problem and your spring seats are uneven, how many mm on the spring seat is the right one higher by? saves me time to measure it when i redo mine on the weekend

ekdez
17-09-2009, 11:05 PM
i have no idea dude! but the reason its lower on the right is because of the fuel tank
i took one of the rings off from the left side.
ill measure the mm of the ring tommorrow for you.. its a bit cold atm.

most likely it will be around 5mm..
