dc's are 4 seater im pretty sure..people just put dc rear seats in egs and just use them, making it 5 seater

dc2's are a 4 seater if you put the rear seat from an eg in there to make it a 5 seater, you have to re-register your car with the state that your in. and honstley as the pic below shows, I wouldn't bother with the amount of room in the back i would just leave it as a 4 seater.

On that note, is there a way to make the seat sit lower so your head isn't scraping the top?

Like chaning how thick the foam is or something along those lines? (It'd be less comfy with less padding, I think, BUT, I'd rather be a bit uncomfy and have my head fit)

Yeah sure, ring Honda in Japan, and see if they'll change the design of the car and interior so as to cater for an extra person in the back... might even be a good idea to contact whoever does the seat belt safety test and crash test for all vehicles that get sold in Australia too.

Selt belts, and seating capacity is one thing that local traffic authorities are very strict about... and for good reason.

If you need to use the car as a 5 seat car, sell it, and buy a car with 5 seats.

Sit in the front seat?

I don't see why you are sitting in the back of your own car. Or tell people that are sitting in the back to be cautious of the low roof... if they don't like it, they can get a taxi.

well take the trim of the seat and cut out the foam out to the desired height you want it

and retrim it back

in saying that the person sitting in the middle will get a sore ass

or you could tap some seatbelt mounting points down to add some middle seat belts
and use some eg middle rear seat belts

you will need to get this engineered at a cost

so at the end of the day is it really worth it for the comfort and one less friend in the car ?

Remove the rear seat altogether so your sitting on the fuel tank?

See how low it is then... and then proced to hack up your rear seat.

As your rear seat sits on top of the fuel tank there isn't much you can really do.

Have you actually removed your rear seat before? Try this and see how thick the actually padding is, you'll be suprised at how thin it is.

But yes, you can put 5 people in the car... or 6 (With one in the boot) if you feel the need... but if you get pulled up by the po po, you'll be the one that'll get the ticket and loose the points, not your friends.

the back middle seat doesnt come factory with a seatbelt. I wouldnt bother anyway, since the integras back seats are tiny anyway

mate the DA9 is the only teg with enough room to squeeze 5 people
the DC2 and DC4 have no room watsoever. the seats are pretty thin. i've sat in the back of my DC2R and it has factory rear seats. its hard as those seats are pretty thin and being 6 foot i hit my head every bump unless i turn it to the side and slide down.
they not designed to be a 5 seater car. unless your friends are super small and skinny.

tegs are coupe, they are not designed to transport rear seat passengers on regular basics. DC's rear seat are really don't have much leg space, if u are full size adult it's bad enough, no leg space no head space, and if u are fat... it's a pain to climb in and out
