yeah well im having a bit of trouble starting the car, its like a really weak crank, this morning my first crank was so weak, so i cranked it again, and it was weak then the car started, after the car drives fun no funny idle or anything like that
i only remember that my mechanic put some liquid into each individual battery cell when i was doing the service 2 days ago.
its the battery yeh?:o

Your battery probably just had a low charge before starting up, but if it's all fine now then there's no need to worry.

Crank like a man!!
yeh i reckon it's probably your battery. Have you taken it for a long drive and given the battrery plenty of time to charge itself?
Try measure it's voltage.

go for a nice long drive and give the battery time to charge... that should sort it out... if not its most likely time for a new battery...
also i no this is the noob section but pick urself up a mulitimeter or borrow a mates and see what the battery is running in voltage when the car has been sitting and also whilst its running..
it should be about 12V when off and bout 14.4V when car is running
if no one u know has a mulitimeter you can pick them up from Jaycar or Supercheap Auto for less than 20 bucks
hope that helps

Just change the battery.... sounds like it is not holding charge and the fact that the mechanic put in battery conditioner during the last service points to the battery being at the end of its life.

could be anything buy a cheap multi metre for 20 bucks and learn how to use it at the same time test your other components, can be anything to due with the start, could be just the average cold start, alternator, starter, battery, spark plugs, spark leads, or just high compression motor v8 LOL honda yo

His car runs fine once it starts, so it is not the alternator, spark plugs, or leads.

end of battery life.... best to go to your local mech or even so where like autobarn or supercheap to test your battery free of charge....

Will work but not as a long term solution if the battery is not holding enough charge. That's $50.80 delivered. Why don't you get a battery for the same price? Get a regular non-sealed one.

I gotta be honest with u man it doesnt sound too good for your battery, i no u can go 2 super cheap, autobarn or even kmart and pick up a small battery charger for 25 bux, its jsut a cheap no name brand but it does the job.
out of curiousity did u try checking the battery as i sugested in my previous post?

The charger will charge it but it won't stay charged for all that long, even if you keep running the battery (with alternator to charge) it won't maintain optimum performance.
Just go to greenacre were all of those wreckers are and get a cheap 2nd hand battery, it will be better then your current one and they come with like 3 months warranty which is more then enough time to see if it's good or not.
I saw you today again haha, your car sounds like a manual and sounded like you were riding the shit out of the clutch =p

LMFAO yea, does that, like lags or something sometimes, on hot days, step on the accel lightly, takes abit to rev up (laggy response), buuuuuuu--- then brrrrr (normal) , dunno y. :P (
hmms never new you could get second hand batteries lol should have just gotten one when i was there 2day.
just another question tho, does the battery affect light bulbs :S when my battery started dying, one of my bulbs died (4 days ago), then just 2nite, i turned off the headlights, and 30 s later, i turned it back on, and now the other side died, had to drive home on hi beams :( is it the battery or is it the bulbs (mtec bulbs)
battery is getting worse, dun have enough money to buy a new one.. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh
OH and a reason why i think the battery is dying like this, is because i helped some guy who had a flat battery, after numerous tries, he connected it directly to my battery to his battery, which im told that that drains my battery? is that true? ( i wasn't watching him do it )

I think your battery was on its way out already. Jumpstarting takes some power, but it recharges all back when you drive anyway. Change your battery before all your light bulbs blow out.
And yes, a flat battery means there is more drain on the alternator which can pump out higher voltage since it is working harder. Your bulbs die first and if you keep driving around with a semi-dead battery, your alternator will die out too. So your repair bill will keep getting bigger the longer you wait.
Why don't you post up a WTB for a used but alright battery for $10-15? There are people who upgrade from a regular battery to an Optima or Odyssey battery, so they would have a spare lying around (which might be flat if they left it on the concrete, but still better than your current battery)

do you know if the terminals for the prelude are the bigger terminals or the smaller ones?
