can anyone direct in how to remove

i) The front lip
ii) OEM Skirts
iii) Door Protector Strips

as I want to have them color coded but don't want to leave the car at a panel shop while the paint dries.

Also are the mirrors worth color coding (its a black hatch)
oh and if anyone in melb could recommend a place to get it done that'd be great  :D

i) front lip should have a few screws under the lip, just get under the lip and you should see it.
ii) not sure.
iii) i think you have to remove the door trim and do it from the inside of the door.

someone will correct me on this. its been a while since i stripped a civic.

Sides skirts are easy, just get a shortened phillips head screwdriver and go underneath to unloosen the bolts.

Then slide teh skirt hard back wards i think to unlock it off the clips.

u have to take off the interior and pop the side moulds from the inside....to take of the side strips.

i've actually tried before i decided to go pay 200 bucks for...

the front and rear lips are attached by normal screws

the sideskirts have 2 screws, front/back, and a "bracket" u have to slide it out

the moulds are VERY hard to get out... as the others have said u first have to take out ur interior panels...then "pop" them out... they are kind of "clipped" on...the thing is, they were never meant to be taken out...EVER and they have a tendency to snap or bend. Trust me mate, u'll never be able to get it back into shape again

if u REALLy dont wanna go to a panel shop (btw y not, u have to buy paint + polish + sandpaper and thats setting u back 70 bucks neway) u can do it the SLACK way...

basically go to autobarn, ask them to mixup the factory color... then just spray the door moulds while they are still in on the car... then spray a clear coat. And then get cut and polish to rub off the excess thats on the car

it should be "ok" cos ur car si black... but personally ur never going to get that professional look

i dont know if this is too late.. but i have done it.. the ones on the door its hard to get to.. just tahe the doors off by taking the screws where the handels are...then the inside should come off... then its just one screen and a lot of clips.. use a thin nose plier and you'll be laughing...

the ones on the front of the front wheel is also easy... tuen the wheel to one side and undo the 2 screws then use the same pliers to undo then i think its like 3 clips...

now to the hard part... the one on the body... you have to "undo" most of the side... start from the speak box and work your way in... under the speaker there should be a few screws.. then its just clips... just pull a little but at a time... and try not to brake anything...

For the front one.. you can get to mose of the clips from under the car... at the ends there should be a nob and when you turn them the stripes should come off... but there will be one in the middle that you cant get too... for this one i just cut the clip off... of cause you can spend about 4 hours taking your front bumper bar off... for me i think 3/4 clips is fine...

the back same clips as the front just jack her up and you shoud be find...

JUST a word of warning.. when you putting the one for the doors back make sure its the right saide.... cause i had to take the door off again cause i mixed them up...

good luck let me know how you did...

NOT TRUE. its easy to take out without bending. just need to have patience. i did my whole car in 3hours. like M* said, u need needle nose plier, its basically, pinch the clip and push, and keep repeating. U'll have to access the 10cm long ones infront of the door by going from the wheel arch area, and that involves removing the guard lining a bit. Other than that, it pretty much involves removing the interior panels to get to em, or removing the front bumpers etc. U just need patience.

Besides that, u'll be right mate, i saved myself 200 bucks, got my entire car colour coded + front lip + grill for 250!!

besides its for fun to do it yourself anyways... but ofcause you know if you take it to get them then... they are just going to line it with new paper and spray them as they sit on the car...

good luck man

Can anyone confirm weather this is the same for the 94-97 Teg?
Have tried to take mine off for painting the other week and gave up.
I removed all the screws underneath then tried to slide back. It wont budge :thumbdwn: :(
