Removing side mouldings

I need to know how to remove the black side moulding strip from my 1990 Integra LS so i can paint them.

are they held on by little clips or double sided tape?

do i just use a flathead screw driver and pop them off or what?

well i ripped mine out from the outside of the car... (not a good idea i dont advise it)
only coz i hit my brothers car reversing and broke a clip
so i just ripped it off and put it back on...
otherwise theres about 6 clips that you have to pull out from inside the door
so you have to take off your door trims

i just read a post on team-integra that says i should just be able to slowly pry it off with a screw driver (with cloth around it to protect the paint) and then pull all those clips out with needlenosed pliers

yeah you can but its more risk of doing damage :)
