hey i just picked up this vafc version 1 and after i installed it and left it on monitor mode, the rpm reads average 6000rpm. everything else is fine, i looked back at my soldering job and found that i hooked up the sensor wire to the blue wire (which i read up is the correct one for a civic). However when i went to the shop manual the blue wire is actually for the ckp (crankshaft posistion sensor). I had another look on the internet and found that the wire should be wired to the TDC sensor? my question is, is the ckp sensor produce the same signal as the tdc sensor?

tdc is a 4 tooth wheel, ckp is a 24tooth wheel.6 times more triggers per rev.

just hook it up to the blue wire coming back to the cluster from the ignitor for the tacho, or alternatively the ignitor output at the ecu.

all good, its working fine now, just another quick question, would it be fine if i set all fuel enrichment settings to zero and change the vtec change over point to stock posisiton?

To zero the unit, just initialize it.

You don't need to change crossover back to stock ,just initialize it and ur crossover point will go stock
