i just made a solution of it, got a cloth dipped in the solution and wiped down the wheel, the dirt comes off without too much effort, then spray it all off

you can leave the wheels on if you like, doesnt make a diff

You mean in like the tny little corners?

Try the bleach as the other dude said

I use spray-on in a can bug, tar and grime remover

got a massive can 2 bucks from go-lo and shit lol.. you spray it on, it foams up, so it gets in the little niks and crannies

... can't believe nobody has stated the most obvious solution yet.
De-greaser or as auto shops have renamed it rim cleaner or something like so.
We used to use it at the dealership, spray it on and leave for like 5 -10 minutes depending on severity and then spray it off using high pressure. may want to spot test before hand as it may be harmful depending on the concentrate.

White rims are hard to maintain. Make sure you use some hot hot water aswell as cleaning products. Only hot water can remove grime and greease.

P.s. Once you've cleaned your rims to your desire, make sure you protect them with something like wax etc.

nope, the place I used to work sourced the chemicals from some company forgot the name, but if you go into any auto shop say autobahn for instances they will have them, just buy what you think will do the job, costs <$10 for a can from memory and will be a lot cheaper to give that a go before you spend over $200 or whatever it costs to get it resprayed.

its ok on the rotors, just spray it on the rag, not the wheels when you apply it on

you can also try to use wiping it off with methylated spirits. 3 bux from supercheap or repco.
