sounds like the clutch is slipping. Your either riding it too much or its worn.
easiest way to tell is to put the car into 4th, put your foot on the brake & let the clutch go quickly.
If it stalls straight away then the clutch is normally fine, it revs abit then stalls then its worn and prob need a new clutch.

yeah dunno what limbo's going on about since you're in neutral and the clutch is disengaged
but it does sound like the release bearing is on it's way out

Does it squeak even when the engine is off and you are just sitting in the car and pressing the clutch? If yes, then listen for the source of the noise. If it is near the clutch pedal, then it is either the clutch pedal assembly and spring or the clutch master cylinder. If it is in the engine bay near the transmission, then it is either the clutch release fork pivot point or the contact point between the slave cylinder and the release fork.
If it doesn't squeak when the engine is off, then it is probably the clutch release bearing.

Aaronng am curious about your response as my clutch squeaks sometimes not all the time. sometimes when the engine is off and sometime while at the lights. usually only squeaks form 1st to 2nd.
sound is coming from inside the cabin but it sometimes sounds like a grinding noise.
could this be the clutch pedal assembly. possibly needs grease or could it be something else?

Go step by step first. Check first thing in the morning when the car is cold and engine is off. Press the clutch to listen for the noise. If you can pin point that it is from the pedal area, then either clutch pedal assembly (give it some lithium grease spray) or the clutch master cylinder (replace, live with it or use a tiny tiny tiny bit of silicone spray). If your clutch master cylinder is leaking out to the foot well, don't use the silicone spray because brake fluid + silicone can be incompatible.
For your grinding, is your clutch bite point at the bottom of the pedal travel? If yes, then I'd bleed the clutch slave cylinder to get the old fluid out. Just bleed some out and top up the resevoir. Don't need to drain the whole thing out.

i had clutch squeaking in my car, was fixed by greasing the clutch release fork. though i didnt do this, it did fix the problem. just recently changed the clutch master cylinder, and no noise are heard only if you really pay attention to it.
