Hi, I need help with my engine which picking up the throttle by itself(revving itself)

I just did my clutch change on k20a2, and changing the fuel rail with new fuel line. When i put erything back to car, i found out my engine is picking up throttle by itself.

So i checked erything, no leak at all. asked my frien, guessing could be the TPS problems. so swapping a full working condition throttle body with tps sensor. the engine still picking up the throttle.

the engine had PRC and i swap the PRB throttle. but tht wouldn't make any change.

I am totally lost now. now suspecting the O2 sensor is not working. but nt sure again!!

anyone could help?

Is it a consistent level it revs to or does it hunt up and down?
And does it just randomly do it on it's own or does it not drop down to correct idle speed after you've been driving for a bit and put the clutch in/come to a stop?

I only drive out once for 3 min and it never stop behave in that way. So i had to drove back home.

Sounds like the throttle cable is sticking. While the car's off try to spray some lube in the protective sheath that surrounds the cable near where it joins to the throttlebody. Open and close the throttle plate while you do it so you can make sure to get as much of the cable covered as you can.

I dun think it is problem with throttle cable. cos when i swap another throttle body, i didn't put the throttle cable on but start n test the engine.

Any help??

Hmm have you reset the computer since the work? And did you install a lightweight flywheel when you did the clutch? It sounds odd but the only other thing I can think of is the computer is trying to compensate for a heavier flywheel and applying more revs.
I'm no expert on K-series engines though so you may have to wait for someone else to take a guess :(

Thanks.
Yeah, i did change the flywheel. Forgot to mention, i break the knock sensor as well. n tat's my first thought of knock sensor tat causing it. So I disable the knock sensor in the Kpro. but it still happen. then i change the entire throttle body. But still not solving. pretty sad now

p.s. a calibration had been reloaded to the computer. so is fresh again

IMO you should Go and see a mechanic before you spend more money on further things without a proper diagnosis.

My mate work in honda checked for me. couldn't find any problems. suspecting the knock sensor that causing it. even tho the knock sensor is disabled, but ecu might still send some signal.

so need order new knock sensor!! 200 from honda for a sensor!!! damn!! anyone selling one just pm me
