All,

My wipers are very noisy on pretty much all speeds and have had a pair replaced. Melbourne's rainy spring is driving me nuts. Any ideas on curing this small prob ?

Thanks
David

Apply 555 on the wiper blades to soften it up a little although the wiper hardening might not be the case unless you are in a VERY cold area....

as ive said somewhere b4 on here, I think the wiper system on the euro is not the best.

I think I have used mine once. That was when I was checking what every thing does in the car when I first got it!

Thats wierd....

My Euro's wipers aren't loud at all... Haven't tested it lately because my car is in the panel beaters atm....

I'm driving a toyota camry and let me tell u those wipers are really loud.

I'd have to agree with pum, my wipers aren't noisy either. I've heard some wipers that would drive you up the wall, my old chrysler neon did that, and always wore down the wiper blades pretty fast.

Rains too much in sydney :p

Nothing particularly noisy about my wipers either..

another option is to not use the wipers at all. instead use something like rain x which repels water.

I have used it and its ok.

I know its off topic, but why is ur car in the PB??

To many west OZ euros have been visiting them lately!!

Bye the way the wipers dont annoy me, just they are louder than my old rolla and i noticed it.
More important things to worry about, like the next track on the CD :p

i have rainex all over the car.. front, back, the sides and even the sunroof

hardly ever switch on wipers esp with the nice aero dynamics :D

I'll try the 555 (even though i'm not in a cold area) first then the rainex. Looks like the rain is set to continue.
Thanks

Perth Euro: I had a accident about 1 month ago.. So its in the panel beaters getting a new bumper and Bonnet....

Decided to stuff getting the original bumper and decided to get the full mugen bodykit for the euro and asked them to convert the HID washers to the mugen front bumper... Thats why its in the panel beaters atm....

Is this under insurance? Will they allow a aftermarket bumper to be fitted at their expense?

another thing u can do, is get some shampoo or conditioner, squirt some on ur windscreen, like enough so that wen u wipe, both the wiper blades go over it clearly. then get someone to hose the car and stir the shapoo/conditioner up, while u get in the car and wipe the windows a couple of times.

works a treat :D. done it too my accord, but mines a 5th gen.

Nop it aint covered by insurance... Its out of pocket expense... I was wanting to put a mugen bodykit a while before i had the accident. Might as well take advantage of the time it is being at the panel beating place atm...

I'll do a before and after accident pic. Car should be ready end of next week... In the meanwhile i think its better to remain on the topic of the wipers thing....

My car is too quiet!!

When i first got my euro it rained every single saturday/sunday for 5 weeks straight in Sydney :( beautiful weekdays but weekends were crap.

The first time was the day after i washed my car too!
