hey guys jsut wondering why my vtec is not engageing ? i had a look at the solenoid abit of a leak . should i change gaskit or whole solenoid im not sure if the problme its leaking or the vtec solenoid is jsut stuffed up need help !

you might need to top up the vtec oil because if its leaking you might run low on the vtec oil. and the vtec wont kick in

you need to replace the solenoid, just get a second hand one, but make sure you replace gasket..... same thing happened to my mates accord...

where on the solenoid is the leak coming from? where it attaches to the block or where the little cylinder like thing bolts to the bottom of the solenoid?

leaking all around so yeah prob best time to change solenoid and there is vtec oil? where do pour that in? or uu just taking about topping up the engine oil?

lol.. sigh!

have you got correct oil pressure and temp for vtec to kick in?

are you sure you dont have oil coming out of the cam seal next to/below the solenoid (another prob all together)?

might need to just check the vtec oil mesh filter may be clogged!
