Hey, I have seen some EK's with the black strip down the side painted silver.
Just wondering what the process is here, do i just get them sprayed by someone, or can they be replaced with silver ones? Any suggestions?
Its called colour coding.. normally you go to a painter to get them sprayed to match your car. Its around $200 all up (as posted by a trader on here). Your can do it yourself but it might turn out dodgy unless you know what your doing.

I've done it!
It really gives a good sleaker look. Problem is if you use somethin like Mothers back to black theres a good chance the plastic will reject the paint as it contains silicone.... It's deffinently worth doing though i reckon! :honda:

DannyB is correct... if you use any product that contains silicone (i.e. armour all) paint will not stick to the plastic/rubber surface. You will have to sand the surface with 1500 or 2000 grit then give it a thorough clean with prepsol...
for $200 we can do your door mould and side skirts, look under car resprays in the trader section

yep get it done! had mine done by a panel beater just last week and it makes the best difference too, if youve got the strips on the bumpers too get them done aswell.
