Hi all,

Curioius on how everyone does their tire rotation.
i.e. DIY or take it to tyre specialist.

I understand it'll be easier to have it done at a proper tyre place, as they just jack up your car and change the tyres. And they could do the wheel alignment if neccessary etc.

How much have most of you guys paid for a wheel rotation?

Wheel rotation alone:
WRotation + wheel alignment:

Either at 6 mth service or when you get wheel balance get them to rotate at same time.

you shouldn't really need to rotate the tyres outside service intervals, but if you do, it's not hard (granted you have a spare tyre, jack etc)

It costs me about $100 for wheel alignment and rotation.
I've had 3 so far, they recommend you do both of these every 10k kms.
My alignment has been out every time btw, and it always feels better afterwards!

Do your rotation at home if you know how to. Swap tyre's according to the link above.

I hate alignments, in my opinion they make things worse and are a waste of money, once they're done when you buy new tyres leave them be. When its off its off by 1-2grams which is the difference of a clean and dirty rim... When you notice vibrations from the wheel, take it back to place that fitted tyres, most of the time they'll do it for free or cheaper than normal.

And don't pay any more than $50 for it, it takes a whole 1 minute for them to do it.

Anyway just my personal experience/thoughts/opinions.
