no point getting a new box, what if the 2nd hand box bearings are gone to, need to replace it, just replace the one from your current box, any mehanical repairers can do them, well most competant ones pm me if you want my mechanics number

he is right you know
and justbecause your gearbox is noisy doenst mean its the ISB either. so giving you a price is useless.
most mechanics charge different rates and depending on how many bearings have failed as to how much more in parts its going to cost you.
a 2nd hand gearbox will probably be OK but you just dont know, you might be at square 1 before you know it, or it might last a good few years. That choice is yours to make.

You need to get both the top and bottom input shaft bearings replaced....
This is a common problem in honda civic integra
You will have to get gear box removed and the gear box dismantled, the bearings are cheap but the labour to do the job is alot.....
Also you will prob want to replace clutch at the same time, save doing it later on.....
My mechanic is good, PM me and ill put you on to him....

cheers guys, anyone else ?
well pretty sure its the input shaft bearing as when i step on the clutch noise goes away .. and gear 1 grinds like a bitch or others , its been left long and is in need of attention nows.

if its been left for long then all bearing are probably rooted, the metal from the failed bearing gets into the other bearings and kills them, also kills the gears as well.
