They use it on PreludeAustralia.com, just wondering if it would be a nifty idea to use on ozhonda
more people use ozhonda, more people find stuff that they don't want, but mite be useful to others, (finding stuff on ebay, or wherever)
wanna explain what it is for ppl that arent on pa.com ?

LOL go sleep loid. what is parts watch>?

for example, if say a rare part comes up but the part wouldn't be useful to me, like ive seen a few times (saw 17x8" silver desmond regamasters come up, and were sold for 600$), like if we had parts watch, i would post the link in their, and if people would be interested, they would bid/buy it. the reason i would do that is because the desmond were to big to fit on my lude, but would be better suited to fit a dc5r or a s2k or something.
if u get me, so lets say one day someone sees a genuine byp front bumper on a site in aus that no one regularly visits, and its going for cheap, someone could post it in the parts watch for others to see and try and buy.
another example, someone sees' a car at the auction, wants to share it with other people then yeah, like theres a silver euro at the auction with damage at the boot to the rear panel.. would be good to take the lip kit, wheels, engine, interior, or better yet, just repair it and drive it

So basically (what they do and what) you're suggesting that there is a section added for ebay/other place (links) for parts that we can't afford/use but others may want.
This common practice on the old school honda forums I visit but I doubt such a system would be implemented here.

someone asked me about why we couldnt post ebay links that we come across and i mentioned it to the moderator team.
we havent come to a conclusion on this but i'll leave it for another moderator to explain what we've come up with.

I don't see how it would be allowed (in my point of view)
'noob' posts in section with 'XXX items on ebay (and cannot advertise here)
noob is the actual holder of the ebay account
noob sells items
????????
noob profits

yeah.. cant really tell if a person genuinely wants to help ozhonda community by posting a valuable item on sale.

well obviously can make it that, only people with the PQ point, and that can sell in the market place, can post in the thread
the suggestion is not like, "ANY" parts watch
for example, linking to some shit house wheels or some crappy every day parts.. its more rare and hard to find parts that you come across.

the thing is, rubbish for you - might be treasure for me :p
but hopefully it can turn out good. dont think mods gonna give it a go.

wells just contributing new ideas
also, if it was, it could be implemented in each little sub section of the cars, for example one in the s2k, civic and bla bla threads

but alot of things for civics can fit integras, etc.

yea
for example, parts watch

i like this idea. good work mwaku
but i reckon it'd be better just in one thread. perhaps a sticky in the for sale section ?
trouble is, we might have ppl spamming it with their own gear from other websites

Here's more support/negative for the Idea (you better peel your eyes for a 3G mugen wing, lol)
A sticky would be ideal (as mentioned and good thinking Zico)
Having a template would be best (of course)
If its set that you cannot post unless you are able to post in a for sale thread therefore you dont NEED to put your own gear in there.
Downside is that people who can sell stuff might help noobs who cannot post stuff here.
Shit (sorry Michael), can-o-worm moment again, how do we define 'rare' then?
MWAKU

well if someone is posting up to help a noob, wouldn't they have alrdy posted up the item in their for sale thread?
i've sold a few things (hehe) that arn't mine, but r my mates. but i understand what ur saying
but then again, most noobs are selling useless junk to them, 2nd hand lips, shitty cannons, jsut random small parts which can be found newhere
rare is like high brand names, for example that link. or finding some b18c REAL cheap.. or like a car with a engine conversion going for a decent price..
Lets say if someone wants to help there mate and they post up his car, buts its just some shitty civic, well thats not allowed, and should be removed.. i don't get why people would keep spamming it though, you'd have to be a retard, and you'll probably get a ban for not following the forum rules?
I dont know how to explain it.. rare is more like, should be worth 1000$+ more... but finding it for a cheap price, or someones selling it, not knowing its actual worth
mocchi

like eg6 interior for $500 maybe.

ahhh...not if they like selling stuff.
*palm face'd*

Problem is people have different definitions.
Example: Rare to some may be a OEM Bumper guard (VERY RARE FOR THE 3G CIVIC) but to someone else it may be a piece of shit that belongs in a scrap heap.
People have payed Hundreds for these (JDM Yahoo) but others have sold them out of there junk yard for 20 dollars (I shit you not)
I dont know how to explain it.. rare is more like, should be worth 1000$+ more... but finding it for a cheap price, or someones selling it, not knowing its actual worth
In my opinion that is actually Bargan hunting/bargain finding.
But a Bargain Part hunting thread is a good idea (encorporate the ideals?)
Not talking about "ZOMG A BARGAIN JDM YO MUGEN REPLICA LIP FOR $40" common shit
I'm talking about "Regamaster evo's $900 for the set, still in box" (dramatising but I feel that is your idea)
Micheal, am I getting the jist of it right?
MWAKU

yeah, but.. shit thats u can buy new everyday anyday allday at a shop shouldn't be posted, unless its 90% off
we all have a fair idea whats rare n whats not
genuine EK9 gear is rare, type R style replica lips r not
genuine volks, desmonds, or w/e for a low price is rare, CSA or bob jane wheels rnt
tien basic coils for 400$ is a good find, tiens basic for 950$ isn't. (as its pretty much only a few hundred less the new)
btw off topic, but god damn some epic bans n shit going around. lol

That's still a Gray area and the discussion in the mods corner has kind of died off!

Probably a bit much. My preference would be for a sticky in the Parts for Sale section like zco suggested (see below)

Yeah that's my concern too....policing it will be hard.
I dont know how to explain it.. rare is more like, should be worth 1000$+ more... but finding it for a cheap price, or someones selling it, not knowing its actual worth
If I understand correctly it's basically for bargain / rare items. Only problem I have is that the definition of 'bargain' might not be clear. One possibility is that we set some restrictions such as:
Items to be of $1,000 AUD value or more
Rare (how would you define this?)
Not your item on a different site, especially if you're a newcomer (hard to police)
Once again my issue is with (the minority) of users who might use it to plug either their items for sale on another site, or someone they know.
