i'm not sure here, but i used to fix lcd with minor faults, when lcd can' display for long, the usual problem is that the capacitors on the pcb, so i guess it may be a lcd issue

I'm thinking maybe something to do with park brake sensor wire? You know how 'legally' you have to hook the -ve wire for the screen to your hand brake so it will only work while you're parked with park brake on. Maybe came loose? My thoughts.

hey kOe1...i have the same model and same problem ! Not so much when playing a video but the screen in general. Its on like normal, then go over a bump screen will either turn off or just flicker on and off. When it is off, try to fiddle physically around with the screen. i did that and it turned back on. It MIGHT be loose screen connection...maybe the cheaper avx710 model doesnt have this problem as no detachable screen. hope this helps.

It is an annoying problem, but i havnt really been bothered looking more into it. So for now i just leave it lol. As long as the music doesnt skip its ok for now. But check it out, and if u find a quick fix to it please post it up here.
cheers
